Just down the road from Westbrook is Doherty’s House.  A historic home, built in the 1870s.  In 1969 a devasting fire destroyed the building’s wooden rafters, windows, and outbuildings.  However, in 2022 works were completed to preserve the important history of the building with the help of architects and conservation consultants.
