Westbrook residents first to benefit from Leakes Road widening
Land at Truganina’s in-demand Westbrook estate is about to become even more sought after, with major upgrades to Leakes Road set to get underway in the coming months.
Running the full length of Westbrook’s Southern Precinct, Leakes Road is one of Truganina’s key thoroughfares, carrying an estimated 23,000 cars each day. And this number is only expected to increase, given the growing number of people making the move to Tarneit and Truganina – Westbrook alone is ultimately expected to be home to more than 10,500 residents.
Favourable weather conditions at Westbrook in recent months have allowed our civil contractors to make good progress.
In the estate’s southern precinct, Stages 18, 20, 23, 24, 30 and 34 are currently in the final construction phase with titles expected in mid 2018. Footpath and topsoiling works are being completed and our teams are carrying out mandatory electrical audits and following up with the relevant authorities for compliances.
Similarly, construction on Stages 25, 26 and 27 is progressing well, with titles expected in the final quarter of the year.
Construction is continuing at a cracking pace at Westbrook as our civil contractor advances work on multiple stages across the estate.
In the Southern Precinct, our Central Park and the Stage 2 Reserve are on track for completion in mid-2018. Landscaping works associated with the Forsyth Road Drainage Reserve and Skeleton Creek Water Quality Asset have commenced with a completion expected in the third quarter of 2018.
