Westbrook Estate lies right in the heart of Truganina. So, we thought we’d share some fun facts about why it’s great to live in one of Melbourne’s fastest growing and most popular suburbs.
Located just 23kms west of Melbourne’s CBD, Truganina covers a massive 2,700 hectares, and as at the start of 2023, the suburb is now home to 43,200 people!
Truganina is located within not one, but two local government areas – Wyndham City Council and Melton City Council, with the majority of its residential land located within the Wyndham City Council.
Over the next few years over $9 billion is being invested in Melbourne's western suburbs, with Truganina set to benefit directly from improvements in infrastructure, transport, schools, parks and reserves.
The suburb is already rapidly growing with a variety of existing and upcoming facilities including the Tarneit Train Station, the proposed Truganina Train Station, a major planned town centre and 2 proposed local town centres, 7 existing schools, 4 kindergartens/early learning centres, 4 planned sporting fields and plenty of local parks and reserves. Truganina is just a 10-minute drive to Wyndham Village Shopping Centre and just 27 minutes via Melbourne-Geelong V/Line to Southern Cross Station.
It’s also a great investment. House prices have grown at 7%pa over the last ten years, outperforming Greater Melbourne and surrounding suburbs Tarneit, Williams Landing and Point Cook, with a median house price of $661,500 and a median land price $345,000 in 2022!
