Apply for the 2025 Westbrook Community Fund

Jul, 2025Events & Local Area

Eligible local not-for-profit groups can apply for grants of $1,500 through the 2025 Westbrook Community Fund.

Each year the funding provided to recipients helps make many wonderful local projects and programs possible.

Recent recipients have included the Tarneit Central Cricket Club, Warreen Primary School, Wyndham Little Buddies Toy Library, Big Group Hug and many more.

Bernadene Voss, CEO of Big Group Hug, said they rely on community support, which mobilises their organisation to provide services.

“The $1,500 from the Westbrook Community Fund went towards purchasing toiletries for teens when families have to flee a situation such as domestic violence.

“The cost of living is skyrocketing and it’s very hard now to find, you know, a bottle of shampoo under $10.00.”

Another recipient, the United Seniors Club Inc. represented by Secretary Mahendra Patel, used the grant to fund a project to reduce social isolation.

“We used the 2024 Community Fund grant for our project “Cooking Together, Eating Together”, which aimed to reduce social isolation,” Mahendra said.

“The grant helped us purchase groceries to prepare and share meals as part of the program.”

To be eligible, not-for-profit groups must provide a service within the boundaries of Truganina, Tarneit, and Williams Landing.

All successful applicants will be invited to a presentation evening to be scheduled later in the year following completion of judging.

Since its inception in 2017, the Westbrook Community Fund has awarded close to $250,000 in funding to a variety of worthy recipients involved across all facets of the community including sporting groups, schools, cultural organisations, senior citizens groups and health-based services.

The Community Fund initiative was inspired by the vision of Dennis Family Corporation Founder, Bert Dennis, as a way of giving back to the communities that the company creates.
