Westbrook, it’s time to have your say on the Fortitude Drive Reserve active open space!

July 2021 in Events & Local Area

Here’s the chance to provide input for the future use, management and development of the Fortitude Drive Reserve active open space.

Wyndham City Council wants to ensure that as our community grows and needs change, the strategic planning matches up with current community expectations and needs. Wyndham City Council want to hear directly from the community on their thoughts, needs and ideas when it comes to planning for this open space.

Over the coming years, the Tarneit North and Truganina communities will be home to over 15 active open space reserves all offering a variety of different experiences to ensure that the sporting and active recreation needs of the community are achieved.

Fortitude Drive Reserve, being adjacent to a future secondary college has been identified as the future home of Wyndham’s second Athletics facility along with accommodating the future growth of field hockey. This will make this space an ideal central location for the wider community.

The reserve will also provide spaces for informal active recreation along with kickabout areas such as BBQ and picnic areas, walking trails and a playground, accommodating all ages and abilities.
