Tomorrow, Friday 8th March, is International Women’s Day and Dennis Family Corporation is proud of all the women that have contributed to the success of the business and their own personal achievements.
We asked Adele Levinge, Director - Dennis Family Group, about International Women’s Day, what women have inspired her, and what challenges and opportunities she sees ahead.
What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
For me, International Women's Day is about celebrating the incredible journey of women. It is a moment to reflect on how far we have come and to honour the achievements of women around the world. But it is also a reminder that there is still work to be done whilst acknowledging the progress that has been made.
What woman has inspired you most and why?
The late Queen Elizabeth II has been a tremendous inspiration to me. Her grace, wit, and her unwavering resilience throughout her seventy-year reign were truly remarkable. She is shown that leadership does not always have to be loud and brash; sometimes, it's about quiet strength and steadfast dedication to duty.
One challenge and one opportunity you see lying ahead for women.
Perhaps the greatest challenge is education. Education remains the pathway towards understanding, tolerance and acceptance. The opportunity lies in fully harnessing the power of women.
