Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a moment to soak in the breathtaking beauty, Brighton has something for every traveller. Here are our top things to see and do!

Named after the waterfront city in England, this historic bayside suburb has been a seaside getaway for well-heeled Melburnians since the mid-1800s.

Renowned for its ornate historic architecture and modern mansions, it’s most famous for its colourful Victorian-era bathing boxes, which line the water’s edge.

The best-known beach strip is known as Dendy Street Beach. Swim at the sheltered beach or stroll along the sand and admire the iconic bathing boxes. Then head to Green Point and take photographs of your favourites, against the backdrop of Melbourne’s distant city skyline.

Visit the cafés and restaurants in North Brighton or grab ingredients for a picnic from the gourmet food outlets.

Visit the Brighton Town Hall Precinct to see the magnificent Victorian-era town hall and surrounding gardens.

Make your way to the Esplanade to see Brighton’s historic hub find a string of historic hotels along the waterfront.

Walk or cycle along the foreshore path and take in stunning views of palm trees and lawns backed by the wide expanse of Port Phillip Bay.

Middle Brighton Pier is a great spot to take in open views of the bay latticed by the masts and rigging of the yachts moored in the marina.

Adjacent to the pier, relax or do some laps at the historic Middle Brighton Baths, a picturesque bathing complex that dates back to 1881.

Watch the windsurfers and water-skiers whipping across the bay or rent some gear and join in.
