This month we chat with brand-new resident, Praveen Koganti.
Second-home buyer, Praveen, works as a Sourcing Manager at a Bank in Docklands, while his wife, Santi, works in Aged Care. The couple currently in Truganina with their young daughter and purchased land in Stage 54 in December last year. Keen to move to a bigger home, they couldn’t be more excited about the recent purchase of their house and land package at the estate!
We took this opportunity to chat with Praveen to discover what made the couple choose Westbrook.
There are so many factors to consider when purchasing land and building your own house. What made you choose Westbrook?
“We really like living in the area, but we’d been thinking about upgrading our existing house for quite a while to accommodate an expanding family. I’d been looking for a land to build a home in Truganina so we could stay close to our friends, and Westbrook Estate seemed ideally suited to our requirements.
“Of course, it doesn't hurt that Westbrook is beautifully designed, with plenty of parks and open spaces, and I was particularly attracted by the separate bicycle lane that runs right around the Estate. That’s definitely a plus point for me as I love cycling.
“Even better, our block is right opposite a proposed water feature. Having seen the amazing landscaping that has already been rolled out elsewhere in the Estate, I have no doubt this is going to look fantastic and I can't wait to be able to look out on water right out the front of our home.
“Most of the residents in the estate own their own houses which is another bonus, as this means our neighbours will have every incentive to maintain and develop their front and back yards.
“Lot size was another deciding factor for us: Westbrook lots are generally way bigger than many other Estates around Truganina, which makes it much more appealing to anyone looking to build a home for a growing family.
The sales process can sometimes be a pretty overwhelming and daunting process. What have been your biggest challenges so far? And how have the Westbrook Sales Team helped you and supported you along the way?
“Our experience with our Sales Consultant, Levan Lu, has been nothing short of perfect. She has been fantastic from the first time we spoke with her and has guided expertly us through every step of the sales process.
“Her extensive knowledge and her understanding of our requirements meant that she was able to provide us with great suggestions about available blocks which best suited my requirements. We had high expectations from the outset and she has met – and exceeded, every single one of them.
“Levan is incredibly patient, responsible and has always acted with the utmost integrity. She has also continued to liaise with us, return our calls and answer questions long after the after the sale process was completed. She has definitely gone beyond the mile.”
When do you expect to move into your new home?
“We’ve just received the developer approvals and the build process is scheduled to start in the next month or so. So, fingers crossed, we hope to be in our new home around March next year. We can’t wait!”
What are you most looking forward to about living at Westbrook?
“Easy! I can’t wait to move into an estate with so many amenities right on our doorstep – I can hear all those parks and bicycle tracks calling my name. The Morris Road Overpass is also going to be fantastic once it opens and make access through the Estate so much quicker and easier.
“Of course, we also really excited about getting acquainted with our new neighbours and joining our new community.
“But most of all I am looking forward to the prospect of moving into our new home, which will be the perfect place to bring up our family”.
Would you recommend Westbrook to your friends and family? And if yes, what would you tell them?
“Absolutely! Westbrook is hands down the best estate in our favourite suburb, Truganina. Quite apart from the well-designed masterplan with lots of large roads, bicycle tracks, parkland and pathways, everything we need is close by including great schools, the Tarneit Shopping Centre and the railway station. Just as importantly, most (if not all) of the neighbours are home-owners, which really is a plus point for us. What more could you ask for?”
